SHIP Building Fund Receives Grants
A $5,000 grant was received from Bank of America for the Ship Harbor Interpretive Preserve Building Fund. Another $2,500 for the Building Fund was received from The Burning Foundation in Seattle.
 
APF Awards Grants For Local Projects
October 18, 2002. The Anacortes Parks Foundation awarded $13,000 in grants for community projects on Fidalgo and Guemes islands
 
Volunteers Protect SHIP
November 12, 2002. Volunteers have groomed the route where a trail will be constructed. Plans are now underway to add rough cedar fencing.
 
APF Awards Grants for Local Projects
May 9, 2003. The Anacortes Parks Foundation has awarded more than $18,00 for local community projects. Grants are awarded twice per calendar year, with the next application deadline set for September 30, 2003.

Many local projects have been, and are being supported by the APF. See our Projects Page for our photographic and written summary. The picture to the left was taken from the "N" Avenue Park, now under development with assistance from the APF.
Our Mission
To encourage private or public donations of land or money for the acquisition, development, and enhancement of park and recreation facilities in and around Anacortes. We also manage park-related projects and administer charitable contributions for local programs.
