Tommy Thompson Trestle Fundraising Underway!
Fundraising for the rebuilding of the fire-damaged Tommy Thompson Parkway Trestle is underway. Donations of any amount are being accepted though the Anacortes Parks Foundation. We have established a PayPal account for ease and security, or you can simply print the form below and mail your donation to Anacortes Parks Foundation, P.O. Box 1902, Anacortes, WA 98221. If you wish to remain anonymous, please let us know. We will not publish your name and we will not use it to solicit future donations. We also will not give our donor list to any other group. All donors will receive a letter acknowledging their donation which should be retained for tax purposes

Anacortes Aktion Club joins the donation effort!

Anacortes Aktion Club - A Kiwanis sponsored organization for adults with disabilities, donates $500 (Plank level) to the rebuild effort. Accepting the check on behalf of the Parks Foundation is Gary Robinson, Anacortes Parks & Recreation Dept. Director. Presenting the check are Anthony Gegan, Preaident, and Laurie Mueller, Vice President of the Aktion Club.

Skagit County Commissioners Ron Wesen, Sharon Dillon, Anacortes Mayor Dean Maxwell, and County Commissioner Ken Dahlstedt presenting a check for $15,000 to the City of Anacortes for the Tommy Thompson Parkway Trestle Rebuild.

Parks Director, Gary Robinson accepts a donation from Flounder Bay Yacht Club from members Bruce Evertz and John Adams.

Transpac Marina presents a check to Mayor Dean Maxwell for $5,000.
The repairs have been completed and the Trestle is Open!! Thanks to all who participated in this effort!
Our Mission
To encourage private or public donations of land or money for the acquisition, development, and enhancement of park and recreation facilities in and around Anacortes. We also manage park-related projects and administer charitable contributions for local programs.
