You Can Make a Difference ...
“We
would be pleased to be able to help fund even more local
projects,” explains Anacortes Parks Foundation President Doug
Colglazier. The Anacortes Parks Foundation (APF) not only accepts
grant applications for dispersion of funds generated by the Puget
Sound Energy leasing agreement with the Kiwanis Noon Club for use of
land on Mount Erie, but also serves as coordinator for a number of
other projects. Current projects include enhancing facilities at
Volunteer Park, park development at N Avenue, additional restoration
at the historic Causland Park, and preservation of the Ship Harbor
wetlands.
“We
are always seeking other program ideas,” notes Colglazier, “for
Anacortes and surrounding Fidalgo and Guemes islands, to facilitate
through future contributions and grants from various other
sources.”
In
addition, APF welcomes memorial contributions for a variety of
projects. “We will try to help facilitate any memorial project
that is suggested,” affirms Colglazier.
